A Weekly Ritual: Dirty dishes

After a week's break, my friend and I got back into our weekly art with the prompt 'dirty dishes'. I created a colourful, busy kitchen on a farm. I wasn't very motivated to finish this piece, but I am happy I tried something new this week.

In my first week of ever using oil paints, I created these two pieces as part of a monochromatic series, focusing on tonal variation and shading. I have a lot of improvement to go, but am enjoying the process!
